 I decided to have a look at IR photography despite not really having a proper grasp of visible light photography which is pretty typical of me.



 I had a D80 with a damaged IR filter over the sensor so thought I might try to convert it to 720nm but whilst waiting for the parts to arrive spotted a D90 already converted to 665nm going for less than the price of conversion so went for it.


If anyone has any easy to follow advice regarding this process I'm all ears as so far it has proved even harder than I had previously imagined.

The work here on DA is of course of a spectacularly good standard but I'm going to try not to be discouraged by my lack of finesse. Maybe one day I can produce something like this one below.
